Our Falmouth Food Tour offers up a delicious blend of Jamaican food and history. If you are curious about the history and historical gems of Falmouth, then our two and a half-hour guided walking tour of the historic town of Falmouth is just the ticket! On this food tour led by expert guides, enjoy a taste of the local cuisine which has been seasoned, marinated and steeped in centuries of history. Discover what plantation life was like when “Sugar was King”, and how the life and rhythm of the sugar plantation shaped what our peoples ate and how it was prepared. Savour the flavours of contemporary Jamaican cuisine and experience through various food tastings, how Jamaicans have used creative cooking methods and a fusion of culinary practices from different cultures to develop dishes that sustained our people through slavery, colonialism, wartime and independence.
In between tastings, view the Georgian architecture adopted from England by many plantation owners and preserved on several of the town’s buildings today. Learn how the town of Falmouth, Jamaica became a thriving seaport in its hey-dey, and enjoy the local fare and interaction with local vendors against the intriguing back drop of the rich, historic features characterizing this town.

|The tour includes a minimum of five (5) tastings. Two tastings are done on the go (sidewalk tastings), and the other tastings are done seated in a restaurant or in a private home. Most people who do the tour will find that they will not need to have a full meal afterwards Note: food tastings are subject to change without notice.
Included: All the food and beverage tastings (enough for lunch!) and one bottle of water.
Substitutions: We can cater for vegetarians, but unfortunately we are unable to make substitutions for vegans or for dietary restrictions and food allergies (such as gluten-free or dairy-free). There isn’t always a “next best” option that meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. We are sorry for the inconvenience but, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.
