Foodie Road Trip – Join us!

Join us as we embark on an adventure to discover the Top 10 culinary gems of the Parish of Trelawny. It’s that time of year when one of our leading local newspapers – the Jamaica Observer- moves into full gear for the staging of its annual Table Talk Food Awards. Now into its sixteenth year, the Table Talk Food Awards seeks to publicly recognize and reward excellence in the areas of food creation and food service. The event features a range of exhibitors who showcase the best of Jamaican and international cuisine to an eager and appreciative audience of wine connoisseurs, food enthusiasts and industry professionals.

In the lead up to this year’s event to be held on May 28, 2015, Foodie Ambassadors have been appointed for each of the island’s 14 parishes and well, wouldn’t you know – Jamaica Culinary Tours and business partner Falmouth Heritage Walks have been invited aboard this culinary adventure! Their mission – to scope out and report on the top 10 culinary gems in the Parish of Trelawny. Yum, a tasty task!

Our detective work has taken us into the highways and byways of the diverse parish – from relaxing seaside joints to bustling city centre eateries and rustic streetside kiosks, each one offering up its own signature mouthwatering creations. We’re leaping out of bed to catch breakfasts at dawn, and savouring delicious seafood fare by evening as we watch the sun set on the Caribbean Sea. It’s a tough job – but somebody’s got to do it!.
