Word on the Street is We’re the Word on the Street!!

So we might be blowing our own trumpet a bit, but word on the street is we’re the word on the street! We’re appreciative of the guests who have chosen to join us on our pioneer Falmouth Food Tour, and even more thankful to them for their great five star reviews! We thoroughly enjoyed the journey we took in developing the Tour, scouting out the best eats, treats and sweets in Falmouth to bring our guests a unique food tour experience, and give them an appreciative bite of our rich Jamaican cuisine, lightly seasoned with a dash of culture and history.  But the best part of the journey yet has been watching our guests enjoy the fruits of our labour as they savour the flavours of Falmouth, its history and our rich Jamaican culinary heritage.

The enthused responses and ringing endorsements from our guests are definitely testimony that the proof is in the eating of the pudding. We loved the review from Robbye who said ”We got such a fantastic taste of the local island flavor….. gives your taste buds a treat….. A must if you like food and history”. And were thrilled at the endorsement from Lorna –   a travel agent in her non-cruise life –  who promised to send us more business than we can handle! Of course we’re up to the challenge – “Bring it on Lorna!”, we say – “You send them, we’ll feed them!”

Our food vendors are all smiles too. They enjoy sharing their culinary skills and knowledge with our guests, who in turn love the interaction with the vendors and revel in their culinary anecdotes and spicy local humour.

Travelchannel.com sums up the Falmouth Food Tour nicely as a “perfect shore excursion for cruisers arriving at this (Falmouth) port”, and thanks to a partnership with
Glamour Destination Management, non-cruiser patrons from further afield, can also come and enjoy the Tour.

Already 2014 is off to a good start, and we’re pleased to see the bookings come rolling in. We look forward to feeding many more hungry guests this year, and now that we’ve whetted our own appetites with the Falmouth Food Tour, we’re already licking our lips in anticipation of the next tour we’ll bring to the  table. Well we don’t want to give away too much, but think countryside and lush green hills with picturesque views, organic farms, home-made cooking from salsas to desserts, and stories told by village farm workers over a cheeky jerk tasting! How’s that for a tasty teaser?!
